As it was sung in a song, the best romance one can think of might be staying with the beloved one till they are getting both too old.Cao Yuehua and Wang Deyi are living proof that love can last a lifetime.The adorable couple, who both turn 98 this year, recently decided to mark their 70th wedding anniversary by reliving their big day in the exact same place it had taken place all those years ago.
With the help of their four children, they returned to the park in Southwest China where they hold the wedding at that time, dressing up the similar tuxedo and gown with flowers in the grey-hair bride’s hands. They took photos excatly imitating the previous images which brings back much emotions.
The age is changing all the time, especially in China for the last century. Undoubtedly, while the couple went through so much barriers, they are still terribly believe in the love just as they first met at university’s ball and fell in love in one sight.
“They have been with each other for so long and the love never faded. Their relationship is so strong that even in the darkest time during the Cultural Revolution, when my dad was segregated for trial because of his service for the U.S. Army, they trusted each other and supported each other to get over the adversities,” said their son. “My parents are 98 this year. Nowadays, they can barely remember many things in their life, but they can recite the love poems they wrote to each other during the wartime.”
Their recalling not only warmer each other’s heart, but also light up others wishes towards love. The couple’s son Cao Pangpei who is 60 himself told CNN. “We want to help them to commemorate their love.” And the happy bride expressed her hope,”When we are both 100-years-old, we will come back again, ok?”
