Every once in a great while, wildlife photographers are in the right place at the right time, allowing them to capture some wildly hysterical moments. These ‘naturally’ funny photos deserve recognition for bringing a sense of humor to the wildest regions on Earth. Paul Joynson-Hicks couldn’t agree more, hence why he has founded a new competition with its roots firmly planted in comedy and wildlife photography.
With over 1500 entries from 52 different countries, the organizers of the First Annual Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have a good reason to smile. The hilarious submissions gave them a good reason to laugh too;they shares those special moments that wildlife photographers are rarely able to plan, but are always thrilled to encounter.
Julian Rad was selected and and announced as this year’s winner.And the prize? An incredible 7-day safari in southern Tanzania in East Africa, as well as a new Nikon D750 DSLR with a 24-8mm lens.Of course, Julian is expected to capture at least one funny photo while enjoying his dream African safari trip.
