Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie officially ended their marriage and returned to their singles. The two-person property division lawsuit will not be formally processed until December 31 this year.
This is two and a half years after Angelina Jolie filed a divorce lawsuit, and she and Brad Pitt regained their singleness. A judge ruled last Friday that the two could return to their singles before their divorce agreement was finalized.
Julie and Pitt met when they filmed the “Smiths” in 2005. They started an open date a few months after the film was released. In January 2006, Julie was pregnant. In 2014, the two held a small wedding in the castle of southern France.
In September 2016, Julie filed for divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences and asked for custody of the children. Since then, the two have been negotiating on custody and property division. In November 2018, the two reached an interim child custody agreement with the goal of “letting things move in the right direction.” At the request of the two, Judge John Ouderkirk extended their divorce case to December 31, 2019. The two may now take several months to split millions of dollars in assets and finalize their permanent custody of six children.
